The Eastern Arterial Road from Baganuur to Undurkhaan transects through various natural zones such as mountains, valley, steppe and rivers. The present condition of this road is relatively poor. This road also passes by Baganuur and Undurkhaan city; Tsenkhermandal, Jargaltkhaan and Murun soum centres and their Bag territory. The population of this zone is 520,000 people. This road is an important arterial road that connects the Eastern economic region to the Central economic region. Therefore, the Mongolian Government planned an Eastern Arterial Road Project with the support of the Japanese Government and has started Road Construction Work in certain sections with an internal work force.
