Tugalgatai Coal Exploration Area Environmental Baseline Survey for Thethys Mining Co.,/VALE Mongolia, 2007

Brazilian Company Vale Do Rio Doce (CVRD) explored territory in Murun Soum, Hentii Aimag and the eastern part of Mongolia during the last several years and discovered another Coal deposit named Tugalgatai. It neighbours the existing coal mine, Chandgana. Preliminary estimates show Coal Resources at about 3.0 billion tonnes.
Ecotrade has been preparing the Environmental and Social Baseline Report for this project since 2008.
