Ovoot Tolgoi Explosive Material Shop and Plant EIA for Orica Mongolia Co.Ltd/ORICA Pty Ltd, Australia, 2011

The Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion Plant is owned by Orica Mongolia LLC. The plant will be built on 4 ha of land in Gurvantes soum, Omnigobi Aimag and it will produce Fortis, Fortan, ANFO explosives. For this project, toxic chemicals, acidic acid, diesel, ammonium nitrate, sodium carbonate, ammonium nitrite, etc will be used. Also some chemicals storage will be built on the project area. Therefore the project will be run in line with Mongolian safety standards and instruction. Ecotrade prepared Detailed EIA Report to them including all environmental and safety standard and requirements and mitigation measures during construction and operation.
