Eco Trade LLC has completed DEIA in 2011 on both Javkhlant (3150X) and Shivee Tolgoi (3148Х) license areas which are subject to the Entrée Gold Inc. and Oyu Tolgoi LLC. Javhlant license area embodies Heruga copper-gold-molybdenum deposit whereas Shivee Tolgoi license area hosts Hugo North copper-gold deposit. Javhlant and Shivee Tolgoi license areas are located in southern region of Mongolia in Hanbogd and Bayanovoo soums of Umnugobi aimag. Javhlant license area covers 20356 ha area and its Heruga deposit is just in the south of Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold deposit whereas Shive Tolgoi license area has 19518 ha area Hugo North deposit is the northern extension of Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold deposit trend. The Heruga and Hugo North deposit will be extracted using the underground mining method of block caving and ore will be developed using Oyu Tolgoi project facilities.
Both Heruga and Hugo North deposits are expected to be mined decades later. Therefore Ecotrade has conducted environmental impact assessment based on currently available project design data. It is advised that the supplementary detailed EIA to be conducted once the detailed designs of these mining projects are developed.
